HOLA!!!!!!!!!! whats up with you guys? well i dont really know were to begin and im feeling all this pressure to write a really good email. my pday is usually thursday but but since it was our first week, they gave us a couple hours today to email and do laundry. so the past couple days have really just been a blur to me. i really dont know where to begin. well i was put in the intermediate class, not the advance like dex said. BUT THANK GOODNESS. (the only thing im upset about is being able to rub it in lush's face that im an advance speaker. oh and this means im in the mtc for 9 weeks now whether its here in provo or in madrid) if i had it my way now i would put myself in beginning. i walked into class the first day and ten minutes later our teacher is making us stand up and bear out testimonies in spanish. the mtc is really good at taking you out of your comfort zone and putting you into crapping your pants zone. we arent allowed to speak english in class. solomente espanol. i lOVE my teacher though. her name is hermana santa cruz. she is from colombia and served her mission in mesa. she is the cutest person ever. and listen to this situation i got put in. im a solo sister. who ever came up with this concept is genius!!!!!!! so basically i have a companion and her name is hermana vidal ramirez (i WOULD get stuck with a native who doesnt know english) but we arent in the same district. she is in the advance and im in intermediate. so were comps but all we have to do together is our laundry, go to temple sessions together. other than that im by myself. which makes my bathroom situation SO easy. i get to go by myself. i could not have asked for anything else! shes leaving in two weeks though so i dont know what they are going to do with me then. hopefully my visa comes through so i can just go to the mtc in spain. (who ever is reading this right now needs to stop and say a prayer my visa comes through. k thx.) so my district is really nice. sam here are there names. they are all greatly looking forward to hearing from you. elder goddard, elder hunt, elder asay, elder baugh, elder cox, and elder jensen. i met my branch president the other night too. listen to this....i WOULD get stuck with this president. his name is elder evans. he is head of the linguistics dept at byu. he is OBSESSED with correct/dignified language. we were lectured forever on what words we can use and what words we cannot use. we cant use cool, crap, sweet, awesome, great, dude, suck, anything along those lines. AND THEN tells us we cant use shortened words. UM EXCUSE ME PRES????? its not p-day, its preparation day....get it? so no pday, comp, btdubs, rofl, lol, ovb, evs, fav, totes, adorbs, huncal, omg, heck, bestie, legit, etc. do you realize how much of my vocab cannot be used?!!!!! i dont even know how to speak english without those words. they are a huge staple in my everyday lingo. and then he tells us that everyweek we have to write a 3-5 minute talk on a given subject and he is randomly going to chose one of us to give in sacrament meeting. i hate writing talks but i figured 3-5 minutes wasnt too bad so i wasnt too broken up about it. but then he proceeds to tell us that these talks have to be in spanish... yes you read that correctly. i have to write talks in SPANISH. i can barely write in english. oh presidente you are killing me!! the other day we were given our first "investigator" (i put quotations around that becuase im not sure he is a legit invesigator) his name is fabian. but i taught my first lesson to him in spanish. so when i say taught i mean i spit out all the words i know in spanish and hoped that he could put it together in his head. i teach with elder cox and elder jensen. it wasnt as horrific as i thought it would be. so far ive been sitting in class here at the mtc. i hope this email is sufficient enough and qualifies as a good letter. but i miss you guys alot!!! you all are seriously the best. i have gotten dear elders from mom, sam, tyler, the nelsons, amy, lush, and laura!!! YOU DA YOU DA BESTT!!!!!!
and mom, can you pass along to my peeps in provo that my district has a temple walk scheduled on sunday from 12:45- 1:35pm. meaning thats when they should meet me at the temple. PLEASE DONT FORGETT. k thx.
