well hello. so today is transfer day. i never know how things actually are going to go on transfer with people leaving at different times, coming in at different times, and then HAVING to be with a companion. because of this i was unaware of how much time i would actually have today on the computer to email you home. so i wrote home a letter about my last week in hospitalet. It’s sitting right in front of me right now and i will go put in a correos box right after i leave the internet place. so now that i told you everything in the letter i really have nothing to tell you guys anymore that i don’t already know. as in i really don’t know anything that’s going on yet. i was planning on telling you everything about my new area but I’m still here in hospitalet as of now. so here are the deets on transfers.. just so you aren’t in the dark until your letter gets home...well hermana rejón (hna rejon is like the funniest person ever...my goal by the end of this transfer to develop my personality in spanish. I’m super stoked that this is happening.) and i are taking over the ayudantes area...barrio 2 en barcelona. this is the first time the ward will have sisters serving in it. neither of us know anything about the area we actually don’t even know where we will be living....the elders yesterday told me they haven’t even started packing up their stuff to move out....hahaha. HOWEVER. i did find out that our piso is one of the nicest ones in the mission compete with air conditioning and everything. YES WE HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. nothing else matters past that! the onsie is coming back. and don’t worry either...i talked to the elders that are moving out and they told me they would take their toaster oven with them which then forces us to have to buy a bikini maker. so that is the extent of my knowledge....barrio 2, air conditioning, and a bikini maker.
well this morning hermana dalton left with hermana stephenson for the training meeting.... they are both getting noobs. (right now my companions are hermana eyre and you’ll never guess the other....none other that the hermana cueva hahaha) the next time i see h. dalton her loyalty will officially be bound to the noob. it was slightly depressing watching her leave. luckily we will both be serving close (she’s staying in hospitalet) so we will see each other soon. as in prob next pday. It’s not like she is being secluded to the islands or anything (which reminds me...cruz is coming back and she is going to be in my zone...we are all planning a pday activity next week) but anyway....this next part of my email i would like to dedicate to the late hermana dalton and share the many things i learned while serving side by side: forgiveness and love. at first we had our blowout with the yellow side of my personality clashing with the red side of her personality but after that the blue sides of our personalities become one. yesterday she told me that i have been her only companion so far to make it past the "testing layer" of herself. I WAS HONORED. i also learned you get out of things what you put into them like the language and studies and the mission and really everything in general. and along with hermana cruz, hermana dalton taught me other forms of manipulation that will come in handy in the future. She’s an extremely good teacher...like everytime we taught i learned new things in what we were teaching.
so this past couple of days I’ve been saying goodbye to people in the area (I’m not gonna lie i finally learned why they don’t tell you about transfers till right before they happen....once you find out about the changes you have a really a hard time focusing yourself in anything. hehe oopps. ) sunday was my last day serving in the hospitalet 1 ward. super sad to say goodbye to certain people (really the only dramatic one was with angela...i wrote home that story. it was a good dramatic though like best moment of my mission. i just couldn’t help myself with her!) ...but again the fact that I’m going close helps. i also found out that my new chapel is where institute is held so i actually will probably see a lot of people again. and since I’m so close too i most likely can receive permission to come back for fatima’s baptism. so in reality right now I’m really surprised with myself that i haven’t crapped myself with all the change going on in my life right now. but to be honest I’m slightly excited for everything that is happening. next week I’ll give you the deets on the new area and life with a native. until then and until you receive my letter i will hold you over with pictures.
LOVE YOU ALL.
talk to you next week.
love, michael ann.
